Discontinuing older software versions enables us to focus our development, quality assurance, and support resources on the continuous advancement of the current product generation, NeuroCheck 6.5, as well as on meeting evolving cybersecurity and regulatory requirements, particularly those arising from the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
EoL – What This Means
NeuroCheck 6.1 will reach its EoL on December 31, 2026. From this date onward, the following conditions will apply:
- Sales of licenses will be discontinued.
- No further bug fixes, feature enhancements, or security updates will be provided.
- The software will no longer be adapted to new operating systems, hardware, or changing cybersecurity requirements.
- Technical support will no longer be available.
These conditions also apply to all associated plug-ins, data format converters, drivers, and tools.
Regulatory Notice in the Context of the CRA
Existing machine vision systems based on NeuroCheck 6.1 can continue to be operated after the EoL date. However, the provision of security updates and security-related bug fixes will cease after December 31, 2026. After the EoL date, responsibility for assessing the remaining risks and for ensuring secure and compliant system operation rests with the system operator.
Recommended Upgrade Path
To continue benefiting from our technical support and the ongoing development of NeuroCheck, we recommend upgrading to the current version, NeuroCheck 6.5. Key benefits of this version include:
- Support for current Microsoft operating systems, including Windows 11,
- Regular security updates, and
- Compliance with new regulatory requirements, particularly those of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
