Company development 2009 in retrospect

In the year of the global economic crisis, NeuroCheck GmbH was also affected by the general business trend. For the first time since the company's founding in 1993, sales fell by a two-digit percent figure, after a record growth the year before. The whole year was characterized by unusually difficult market conditions.

Right into this situation our new software version 6 was released after a five-year development phase. Customer feedback has been extremely positive and the first systems based on the new software will presently go into operation.

Our new version 6 is technologically up to date, supports modern multi-core processors, and provides a flexible 3-tier architecture. For customers, NeuroCheck version 6 is a secure investment into the future as it already works seamlessly with the new Microsoft operation system Windows 7.

In 2009, we also trained our personnel especially in utilizing the new software. Contrary to the general trend we're employing more people at the end of the year than we did last year! We see our highly qualified and motivated application team paired with immense software knowledge as the key to our long-term success. This is why we continued to invest throughout the crisis.

The development of our sister company IVS Ltd. near Oxford (UK) in 2009 was also very positive. Although the British economy has been severely hit by the crisis, IVS is enjoying considerable growth. The reason for this successful development is - among other factors - the company's diverse industry spread including the food processing, medical devices and printing & packaging industries. IVS is operating internationally and serves customers all over Europe. In 2009, optical inspection systems were delivered to the Netherlands, Turkey, Russia, Hungary, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Macedonia.
